Over 50 Dogs Rescued From Midwest Will Be Up For Adoption In PW

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — More than 50 small breed dogs and puppies that have been rescued from the Midwest will be available for adoption this weekend in Port Washington.
The animals are a variety of pure and mixed breeds, including Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, and Chihuahuas. And they will be arriving in Port Washington on Sunday at 11 a.m.
The rescue is the product of a collaboration between North Shore Animal League America and National Mill Dog Rescue.

North Shore Animal League America says the dogs will be examined and groomed by its staff. Once cleared, they'll be available for adoption — with some ready as early as this weekend.
