PORT WASHINGTON, NY — On May 17, voters in the Port Washington Union Free School District will head to the polls to vote for the district's proposed 2022-23 budget. The Board of Education election will also take place that night.

The district says that, in addition to maintaining current academics, the budget will also support various performing arts, athletic, and extracurricular programs.
In addition to the budget, residents will be voting on a proposition that would establish a capital reserve fund for a facilities improvement program. District officials say this reserve fund will serve as a savings account with no additional burden to the taxpayer.
