Voters Approve Port Washington Budget, Elect Trustees
Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

Port Washington residents approved a 2018-19 school budget on Tuesday.
The $155,938,460 budget passed with 1,807 yes votes and 449 no votes, according to the school district. The budget is a 3.12 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 3.15 percent tax levy increase.
Residents also re-elected Lawrence Greenstein, Nora Johnson and Elizabeth Weisburd, who all ran unopposed, to the Port Washington Board of Education.
