Port Washington Play Troupe Announces Two Free Performances
The Spark of Creation: Celebrating the Music of Stephen Schwartz

Mark your calendars! The Port Washington Play Troupe invites you to a magical, musical journey celebrating the incredible talent of legendary Broadway composer, Stephen Schwartz. The Spark of Creation: Celebrating the Music of Stephen Schwartz will feature music from the most beloved shows of his five-decade career, which has included Wicked, Pippen, and Godspell, as well as enchanting gems from some lesser-known works. This musical extravaganza will delight audiences of all ages. And, best of all… there will be two free performances, one indoors (10/4) and one outdoors (10/5), so you can enjoy the show in your preferred setting.
The first performance will take place on Friday, October 4, at 7:30 PM at the Port Washington Public Library, located at 1 Library Drive, Port Washington. Reservations are strongly recommended as this show is going to be popular! The second performance will take place on Saturday, October 5, at 7:00 PM (raindate Sunday, October 6, at 3:00 PM) at the John Phillip Sousa Bandshell located at 325 Main Street, Port Washington. Outdoor seating – chairs and blankets encouraged! Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the sunset with the show!

Directed by Pam Seiderman, and featuring Musical Director David Barnett, the show will include performances by a talented group of local singers, including: Michael Chimenti, Alexis DiResta, Bob Domingo, Doreen Fryling, Jennifer Geissman, Susie Greeno, Brett Grossman, Joe Hoffman, Ronell Hurt, Heather Simon, and Tom Wallace.
