Port Washington Police District Holding Online Auction for Surplus Goods from Closed Knowles Funeral Home

The Port Washington Police District (PWPD) would like to make Port Washington residents aware of the opportunity they have to bid on items from the shuttered Knowles Funeral Home over the course of the next several weeks. The District is currently running an online auction through govdeals.com with various items from Knowles Funeral Home. Items are currently available to bid on and more will be added in waves to their online auction site throughout the coming weeks. All proceeds from the auction will be placed in the District’s general fund to help further cover costs associated with the construction of the new headquarters.

“There are many unique items remaining at the Knowles Funeral Home that are too good to throw in the trash so we hope they can find a home with some of our local residents,” said PWPD Chairman JB Meyer. “From furniture, to dishware and many interesting items in between, we encourage residents to take a look at what’s available and place a bid if they are interested in owning it.”

A majority of the items are vintage, making them great additions to any collectors who enjoy decorating their homes with antiques.
