Bike racks will soon be installed as well.

In an effort to decrease commuter parking woes, the Long Island Railroad Station in Roslyn has added 59 extra parking space over the past year.
Bike racks will soon be installed as well, the Town of North Hempstead announced.
“The Town has made great strides in relieving congestion in this parking lot by adding a total of 59 spots in the past year through innovative solutions,” Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “These additional parking spots plus the bike racks we will soon be installing are both a positive step in making commuting more convenient for our residents.”

The additional parking spots were added, following the re-stripping of the lot in 2016, to the section north of the station house and the upper level by the entrance ramp, as well as where a median once was, located in the parking row closest to the terminal and station house.
This is the second time in the past year that additional spots have been added to the parking lot. The lot now has 297 parking spots available to residents, free of charge.
