Strong Season for Port Washington/Manhasset Ice Hockey
Team advanced to state tournament in Ithaca.

The Port Washington/ Manhasset high school ice hockey team finished the season with a spot in this weekend’s 2015 New York State Junior Varsity championship tournament.
“The Storm,” as the team is known, boasted a record of 11-3-1 in the Junior Varsity division of the High School Hockey League of Nassau County, and won its last eight games.
League play continues until mid-March, but the team qualified for the state-wide tournament, held Feb. 27-March 1 in Ithaca, New York. Check here for the results.

The Storm is led by Head Coach Linda Caruso, Assistant Coaches Alex Caruso, Jordan Caruso and Jake Lublin, and is supported by the Port Washington Skating Center under the direction of Fred Nielsen. Port Washington players include captain Dan Feldman, Matthew Dieber, Andrew Gottfried, Kyle DiLeo, Thomas Carillo, Justin Cenname, John McDonald, Sam Contino, Gianfranco Stacconi and goaltenders William Longmire and Ben Schildkraut. Manhasset players include Corey McCluskey, Kevin Barrett, Jack Boyle, Aram Dadourian, and Markus Mildt. Additional players are Henry Bushell, Andrew Colgan and Noah Kniesly.
