
A teenage girl was struck and injured by a vehicle while standing in a road in East Hills on Sunday morning, police say.
According to authorities, the 16-year-old was in the southbound lane of Glen Cove Road when she was struck by a 2011 Chevrolet sedan at 1:25 a.m.
She suffered injuries to her head, neck and back. She was taken to North Shore University Hospital for evaluation.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 60-year-old man, remained at the scene.
Police do not suspect criminality and the investigation is ongoing.
