ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NY — A car burst into flames on the Long Island Expressway on Saturday night forcing some westbound lanes to close, according to the state Department of Transportation. The car caught fire around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near Exit 37 for Willis Avenue.

The right and center lanes were closed for about an hour but appeared to reopen. Traffic cameras showed heavy, black smoke billowing out of the vehicle.
