People who frequent the Town Dock in winter or live along the shoreline of Manhasset Bay may have noticed a blue-hulled sailboat enjoying the open waters during the winter. Hardened members of the North Shore Yacht Club love sailing so much they don’t mind braving the frigid air temperatures and occasional water splashes. Sometimes they’ll sip on soup or hot cocoa to keep warm, but most times they just bundle up and enjoy their favorite sport all year long.

The North Shore Yacht Club is located on Manhasset Bay’s north shore. The Club boasts a well-protected mooring area for sail and powerboats, quick and easy access to the Long Island Sound, and member rates that are very economical compared to other club fees. Visit nsyc.net to learn more.
