Woman, 76, Punched Numerous Times While Waiting At LI Bus Stop: PD
She had injuries to her leg, hip, elbow and ribs, and had lacerations on both of her hands — as well as broken ribs, police say.
MANHASSET, NY — A Newark woman was arrested after an assault on a 76-year-old recently in Manhasset, police said.
According to Nassau County police, Sixth Squad Detectives reported the arrest after an assault that took place on Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.
The female victim, 76, was seated on a bus stop bench at Northern Boulevard and Maple Street, detectives said. While waiting for the bus, she was struck numerous times with a closed fist by an unknown female, police said.

Two good Samaritans came to the victim’s aid and stopped the attack, police said. The victim suffered injuries to her right leg, hip, elbow and ribs and had lacerations on both of her hands; she was transported to an area hospital where it was determined her ribs were fractured, police said.
Upon arrival, officers arrested Dalisa Wormack, 40, police said; she was charged with second-degree assault and was slated for arraignment on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
