Woman Struck By Car Critically Injured

Nassau Police say the 79-year-old woman was hit by a Mercedes Monday morning.

MANHASSET, NY – A 79-year-old was struck by a car in Nassau County Monday morning, Nassau Police said.

According to police, a 2014 Mercedes-Benz hit the woman near the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Allen Drive in Manhasset at 11:30 a.m.

The woman suffered numerous injuries and is listed in critical, but stable condition at a local hospital.

Police did not name the woman or the 41-year-old female driver. No criminal charges have been filed. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
