BROOKLYN, NY — A 29-year-old man was killed over the weekend when he was hit riding his e-scooter in Brooklyn, according to police.

The man was riding his e-scooter down Fulton Street around 2:20 a.m. Saturday when a man driving a Hyundai Elantra that had just turned onto the street from Hoyt Street ran into him, police said.

The e-scooter rider fell off his scooter and was then run over by the car, police said.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 42-year-old Hyundai driver and his 26-year-old passenger, who refused medical attention, stayed at the scene of the crash, police said.

There were no arrests in the incident as of Monday morning.
