3 Injured In Crown Heights Fire: FDNY, Reports

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A trash compactor fire injured three people in a Crown Heights housing complex Sunday morning, according to FDNY and reports.

The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. Sunday at a New York City Housing Authority complex near Albany Avenue and Prospect Place, according to FDNY. It was extinguished by about 4:55 a.m., FDNY said.

Some 80 fire officials were on the scene Sunday, ABC7 reported. Three people were sent to Saint John's Episcopal Hospital with injuries, according to ABC7. There was no update on their condition Monday.
