5 Things: Renegade Reading at LaunchPad and Complicated Pop at Branded

2. Rock out. Come to The Way Station and hear the Emily Danger Band. Emily Danger is a dark cabaret rock band that combines haunting melodies and amp; vulnerable lyrics with orchestral, heavy and often dissonant arrangements. 3. Be complicated. For some off-the-beaten-track music, head to Branded Saloon to hear Useless Beauty use their powerful vocals to share the “scariest facts in life” to an “unsuspicious audience.” According to their blurb, the group has been “rejected as 'inappropriate for children' and branded as 'complicated pop.'” 603 Vanderbilt Ave. at Bergen Street. 8 p.m. No cover.

4. Sing the blues. Check out the Hump Day Blues Party at Bed-Stuy’s BushBaby on Fulton Street. 1197 Fulton St., 8 p.m.

5. Don’t move your car. Alternate side parking rules are suspended today, Wed., May 15, and tomorrow May 16 for the Jewish holiday Shavuot.
