5 Things: Brooklyn Museum's First Saturday and Multi-Family Yard Sales
Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You need art! Head to Target First Saturday at The Brooklyn Museum. There's no longer a dance party, but the evening is still chock full of activities includin "pop-up gallery talks," an "interactive space" where people can mingle or work on a collective collage, and a 1970s fashion show. Afterwards, head to Bar Sepia, for an afterparty with w/ dj OP! Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, 5-10 p.m. Free.
2. You need stuff, lots of stuff. There are two multi-family yard sales this weekend, one on Plaza Street East from 9-3, and the other on Underhill & Washington from 10-4.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house. Head to Greenlight Bookstore's Story Time, where author Peter Brown (Children Make Terrible Pets, You Will Be My Friend) offers a spooky, goofy Halloween story time! Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton St (at S Portland St), 11 a.m. Free.
4. You need to know if your train is running ... It is! There are no planned service changes affecting Prospect Heights all weekend, according to the MTA.

5. ... and if you have to move your car. Not today of course, but not Monday either. Alternate side is suspended for Columbus Day and Shemini Atzereth, according to the NYCDOT.
