5 Things: Slow Zone Petition Deadline, 'No Country for Old Men' Showing, Late-Night Q Train Delays, More

Prospect Heights-area subway, alternate side and event information you won't want to miss.

1. You need to make Prospect Heights a "slow zone" ... If you're in favor of the move to bring speed bumps and other traffic calming measures to the neighborhood, sign the online petition today, because it's going to be submitted to the DOT tomorrow (more on the slow zone ). Also, if you live on Eastern Parkway, sign this additional petition, supporting the recent addition of the Eastern Parkway service road to the slow zone, um, zone. 

2. You need a good (and free) movie. Head to the for a showing of "," 10 Grand Army Plaza, 6:30 p.m. Free.

3. You need to get the kids out of the house ... Head to  for , which includes stories, songs and sign language. 755 Dean St (at the corner of Underhill Ave), 10:30 a.m., $5/family. See our for more events.

4. You need to know if your train is running ... The No. 3 train is running normally this week, but between 11:45 p.m. and 5 a.m. weeknights through Friday, Q trains are running every 30 minutes between Atlantic Avenue and Stillwell Avenue. Brooklyn-bound trains will drop you at Pacific and you will have to walk to Atlantic and wait for the next leg (the reverse Manhattan-bound), according to the MTA. 

5. ... And if you have to move your car. Sorry, you do. Alternate side won't be suspended again until Monday, Feb. 13 for Lincoln's Birthday, according to the NYCDOT, so try to grab a Tuesday spot now.
