Are you working on a screenplay? Tonight at LaunchPad there's a Screenwriters Workshop & Meetup. Bring your screenplay or scene to read out loud and workshop with other writers. Tuesday, Feb. 26

NY1's Cheryl Wills will present The 150^th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation: The Legacy of Black Civil War Soldiers and discuss the varied treatment of black and white soldiers during the Civil War on at 6:30 p.m. at Medgar Evers College's Edison O. Jackson Auditorium at 1638 Bedford Ave. The event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting and Irondale Center co-present 'Is It Already Dusk?' a new movement theater piece by Joan Evans and Harry Rubeck based on the true story of the life of 76-year old Takashi Tanemori, a Hiroshima survivor. The show runs until March 2 at the Irondale Center located at 85 South Oxford St.

Thursday, Feb. 28

If you're in need of a yoga class, but don't have a lot to spend, today there's Cost by Donation Vinyasa Yoga at Pura Vida Urban Fitness, where you can pay $5 (or more if you can). 184 Underhill Ave. 7:30 p.m.
