9-Year-Old Girl Found Dead In Crown Heights Apartment, Cops Say
Police are investigating the girl's death but had made no arrests as of Monday morning, according to the NYPD.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 9-year-old girl was found dead in a Crown Heights apartment on Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Shalom Guifarro was found unconscious with trauma to her body inside her Lincoln Place apartment above Memphis Seoul restaurant near Franklin Avenue just after 1 p.m., according to police.
The girl, who lived at the apartment with her mom and sister, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and reports. Among her injuries were bite marks on her back, the New York Post reports.

Restaurant owners told the Post that employees had called police after noticing a foul odor, according to the outlet.
Two dogs were taken out of the apartment building in crates by police, according to the Post.

The city's Medical Examiner will determine Shalom's cause of death, police said. There were no arrests in the death as of Monday morning.
