This month’s reading focuses on “Nocturnes,” as interpreted by the influential novelist ALEXANDER CHEE (Edinburgh), literary iconoclast BLAKE BUTLER (There Is No Year), poet ROBIN BETH SCHAER (Tin House), and short fiction authors SCOTT MCCLANAHAN (Stories V!) and SARAH ROSE ETTER (Tongue Party). In their innovative work, these authors delve into the dark side of urban nightlife, share their hallucinations and nightmares, and offer lyrical meditations on sleep disturbances like somnambulism and insomnia.
This will also be the official launch of Blake Butler's highly anticipated nonfiction book NOTHING: A PORTRAIT OF INSOMNIA.
As always, the fun is FREE and the drink special will be $4 pints.
BOOK RAFFLE: One lucky winner will receive a copy of Blake Butler's most recent novel THERE IS NO YEAR.
