Apartment Building Catches On Fire In Crown Heights

Sixty firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the fire.

BROOKLYN, NY — A fire broke out on the first floor of an apartment building on Wednesday afternoon in Crown Heights, Fire Department officials said.

According to the FDNY, a call was received about a fire on the first floor of 205 Schenectady Ave. around 12:48 p.m. Wednesday. The ground floor is a storefront that contains a religious store.

Sixty firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the fire, and fire was under control by 12:53 p.m., officials said.

According to the FDNY, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
