Crown Heights Bagel Shop Is Among Most Popular In NYC, Data Shows

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights bagel shop is among New Yorkers' go-tos for getting bagels, according to a new study.

Franklin Avenue's Bagel Pub location was in the top 10 New York City bagel spots with the most orders in 2021, according to newly-released Grubhub data.

The Crown Heights spot, one of two Bagel Pub locations, landed ninth in the list, just above Williamsburg's Bagelsmith. Bagel Point in Greenpoint was the third Brooklyn spot to make the ranking, landing at number six.

Grubhub found that New Yorkers' favorite bagel flavor is everything, followed by cinnamon, onion, and blueberry.

For New Yorkers who prefer bagel sandwiches, most go for the classic bacon egg and cheese or lox with scallion spread, Grubhub says. Egg and cheese bagels (for the meat averse), or B.L.T sandwiches (for the meat lovers) are the next most-popular orders, data shows.

The Grubhub study comes as New Yorkers get ready to celebrate National Bagel Day, which is Saturday, Jan. 15.

Aside from the Brooklyn spots, Queens and Manhattan bagel shops topped the most popular locations in the city.
