Crown Heights Man Faces Murder Charge Months After Fatal Fight: NYPD

A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder months after a fatal stabbing in Greenwich Village, officials say.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights man faces a murder charge months after a Greenwich Village fight turned fatal, police say.

Damon Clemmons, 25, stands accused of killing Samer Abdalla, 28, on May 13 about 1:30 a.m., NYPD officials announced early Monday morning.

Police believe Clemmons was among a group of people to argue with Abdalla at West Fourth Street and Sixth Avenue in the moments before his death, according to the NYPD.

Abdalla was repeatedly stabbed in the torso and later died at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

Court records show Clemmons was arrested Saturday about 11:50 p.m. and is slated to be arraigned Monday in Manhattan Criminal Court.
