Crown Heights Mugger Made Antisemitic Comments Before Robbery: NYPD
Police were still searching for a mugger who made hateful comments before punching a man in Brooklyn and stealing his things.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A mugger made antisemitic statements before stealing a man's bag and watch in Crown Heights, police said Wednesday.
A 30-year-old man was approached by the stranger about 10:50 p.m. on Jan. 2 near Schenectady Avenue and Montgomery Street, according to the NYPD.
The attacker made antisemitic comments, punched the victim multiple times, and swiped his belongings before running, police said.

Police were investigating the incident as a hate crime.
The 30-year-old had only minor injuries and refused medical attention, police said. Police were still searching for the mugger Thursday.
