A Bed-Stuy man accused of slashing a straphanger on a 5 train was arrested Thursday.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A Bed-Stuy man accused of slashing a straphanger on a Crown Heights-bound 5 train was arrested Thursday, according to the NYPD.

Zyeuk Person, 24, started fighting with a stranger on a 5 train approaching the President Street station on May 28, police said.

He slashed the 46-year-old's face then ran as the man was transported to an area hospital, police said.

Over a week later, Person was arrested on weapons and assault charges, according to the NYPD.
