Crown Hts. Suspect Assaults Nail Salon Manager Over Pedicure: Manager

The woman who allegedly assaulted the man tried to leave without paying for the $38 service, said the manager of the Diamond Love salon.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — There wasn’t a lot of love and affection at the Diamond Love nail salon last Tuesday when a woman assaulted the manager and refused to pay, according to police.

After walking into the commercial establishment, located at 1419 Saint Johns Place, the woman received a pedicure worth $38 and then proceeded to walk out the store but the manager, 59, approached and tried to stop her from leaving, but was punched several times in the face, according to the victim who spoke to Patch Saturday.

The manager, who did not want to reveal his name, sustained swelling and bruising to his face and was sent to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, according to police.

“I’m okay, I’m okay,” said the manager who was back at work at the salon. “I spoke to the detectives Friday.”

The manager hopes that the suspect is found quickly.

The suspect, pictured above, was last seen fleeing the store on Aug. 2 before 1 p.m. going west on Saint Johns Place on foot, according to police.
