Day Of Performances Headed To Prospect Heights Open Street
There will be a line-up of free performances on Vanderbilt Avenue on Saturday.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — An afternoon of free performances is on its way to Prospect Heights' popular Open Street on Vanderbilt Avenue.
Events through the city's Open Boulevard program that has been making its way through the five boroughs will stop in the neighborhood on Saturday, with a line-up of local groups set to perform between 2 and 7 p.m.
Vanderbilt Avenue was one of 10 Open Streets that the city selected to become an "Open Boulevard," or a "supercharged" version of the program with cultural events throughout the summer.

The event comes just after murals on the roadway and the jersey barriers recently transformed the Open Boulevard.
One of the mural projects, sponsored by the Citizens Committee of New York City, will culminate Saturday with a collaborative mural for kids to paint between 2 and 4 p.m.
