Early Morning Crown Heights Shooting Sends Man To Hospital: NYPD

A 33-year-old man was shot on Lincoln Place early Monday morning, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — An early morning shooting left a man initially in critical condition, police said.

At around 12 a.m. Monday, authorities said that a 33-year-old man was shot in the back on Lincoln Place between Franklin and Washington Avenues.

According to police, an unknown man approached the victim, shot him in the back, and fled.

Police said the victim was found to be in critical condition and was quickly brought to Methodist Hospital, where he was then declared stable.

The shooting occurred just steps from Saturday night's fatal Franklin Avenue stabbing.

No motive or description of the shooter was available on Monday morning, police said, adding that the victim was a person known to the 77th Precinct.
