Free Carousel Rides in Prospect Park!

Plus a Yellow Sneaker Puppet Sing-Along, Another Round Storytelling, and Celebrate Brooklyn!

Good morning Prospect Heights! It's supposed to be a lovely cool day today with an excellent chance of showers. Here's what's going on:

- The Prospect Park Carousel is free every Thursday in August, from 12-6 p.m. So head on over there to kick off the season. Don't worry if it's raining, the Carousel is well covered.

- Also for the younger set, there's the Yellow Sneaker Puppet Sing-Along at the community-run, non-profit children's playspace It Takes a Village on Prospect Place at Classon at 3 p.m. $5-$10 suggested donation.

- The August edition of Another Round Storytelling, with Susan Kent, veteran of “The Moth" StorySLAM, takes place tonight at LaunchPad at 8. $5 suggested donation. 

- 'Celebrate Brooklyn!' returns at Prospect Park Bandshell tonight at 8 p.m with Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal.

- Make sure to move the car. Alternate side parking rules are in effect all week.
