Prospect Park Subway Tracks Catch Fire: FDNY
Two lines were running with delays in both directions.

BROOKLYN, NY — Morning commutes were disrupted in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning following a track fire at the Prospect Park subway station, New York City Fire Department officials said.
According to the FDNY, there was a report of a track fire at 5:27 a.m. at Prospect Park station, which services the B and Q train lines.
Twelve firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the track fire within 40 minutes, and no injuries were reported, FDNY officials said.

Both lines were running with delays as a result of the fire, but were restored later on Tuesday, according to the New York City Transit Authority's X (formerly Twitter) account.
The cause of the track fire is under investigation, officials said.

The NYC Transit Authority has not yet responded to a request for comment.
