Franny's Pizza Closing In August

The Flatbush Avenue staple will be no more after August 20.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Franny's, the mainstay Flatbush Avenue pizza joint, will close in August, the owners said in an Instagram post.

After 14 years of serving farm-to-table pizza, Franny's is shuttering its store at 348 Flatbush Avenue, near Sterling Place, on August 20.

"After 14 incredible years franny's will be closing it's doors on Flatbush Ave. It has been a true pleasure and honor to be able to cook for and serve our community for all these years," a post from the company said. "You have filled our restaurant with so much joy, and inspired our team to work hard and with care and passion every single day."

The restaurant will be turned into something new by "longtime friend and fan Joe Campanale," according to the post.

"Thank you to our beloved Brooklyn community so very much for sharing in our amazing journey," the post said. "We are full of appreciation for our neighbors who supported us all of these years. We are full of appreciation for every single person who has ever worked here and been a part of this story."
