Glasses Snatched Off 68-Year-Old Straphanger: NYPD

A robber grabbed eyeglasses off a 68-year-old subway rider near Prospect Heights last week, police said.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, NY — A thief grabbed a 68-year-old's eyeglasses off his face in the subway last week, police said Tuesday.

The 68-year-old was on a southbound 3 train approaching the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum station about 2:40 p.m. Thursday when his eyeglasses were nabbed, according to NYPD.

Police had made no arrests Tuesday but shared a video of a man seemingly running away with the glasses at the Prospect Heights station.
