CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A 43-year-old man was fatally shot in his Crown Heights apartment building Friday, police said.

Durell Falero, 43, died Friday after being shot in the head about 12:40 a.m. on Sterling Place between Rochester and Buffalo avenues, according to the NYPD.

Falero was found in the first-floor hallway of his apartment building and taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

The killer got away and police had made no arrests Monday.
