CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A man was fatally stabbed by his roommate in Crown Heights on Thursday, according to police and reports.

The 45-year-old man was found stabbed in his chest inside the Crown Street apartment building, near Troy Avenue, just after 7 p.m. on Thursday, according to police. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A 40-year-old man was later taken into custody in connection with the stabbing, police said. Police sources told the New York Post the suspected killer was the man's roommate and had surrendered to police at the 77th Precinct, according to the report.

Police did not have details Friday about any charges filed against the 40-year-old suspect. They told Patch that the investigation is ongoing.
