Man Shot In Head In Crown Heights: NYPD

A man was in critical condition Thursday after he was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound, according to NYPD and Community Board.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A 43-year-old man was in critical condition Thursday after he was shot in the head in Crown Heights, according to NYPD.

The man was shot about 12:40 a.m. Thursday near Sterling Place and Buffalo Avenue, police said.

The local Community Board said the man was found laying on the floor face up with a gunshot wound on his face.

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, and his condition later Thursday morning was unknown.

Police made no arrests by Thursday morning, but the local Community Board said police had obtained surveillance video from the scene.
