Man Struck By 2 Train In Prospect Heights: NYPD

A man was injured after being struck by a train at the Bergen Street station in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, NY — A man was struck by a southbound 2 train in Prospect Heights Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The man in his 50s was hit about 3:20 p.m. at the Bergen Street station near 6th and Flatbush avenues, according to the NYPD.

He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening leg injuries, police said.

Police don't know how the man ended up on the tracks, but said they did not suspect a crime was involved.

Trains along the 2, 3, 4 and 5 saw delays in both directions Wednesday afternoon, with southbound 2 and 3 trains running express between Atlantic to Franklin avenues.
