New Chipotle Opening on Prospect Heights/Park Slope Border This Fall
It's one of 3 new Chipotles opening in Brooklyn by the end of the year.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Apparently undeterred by a plunge in stock and sales after The Great E.Coli Scare of 2016, the Chipotle Mexican-food chain is planning to open three new locations in Brooklyn by the end of the year, according to a company spokeswoman.
One of the new Chipotles will be located along Williamsburg's booming Bedford Avenue corridor. Another will be located at the Flatbush Junction, down by Brooklyn College.
And a third is going in at 347 Flatbush Ave. — right where the avenue meets Park Place and Carlton Avenue, on the border of Park Slope and Prospect Heights.

The location will open its doors near the end of September, a company spokeswoman said.
Somewhat ironically, the neighborhood's new Chipotle will be housed in the very same corner building that housed the old El Gran Castillo de Jagua, a Dominican restaurant that's been serving locals for the past 30 years.

El Gran Castillo has since moved a few storefronts down, to 355 Flatbush.
However, he said, "It's not a great sign that everything around here is going very commercial. It's a sign of the times, I guess."
Chipotle will soon start accepting applications for 25 to 30 job openings at its new spot on Flatbush. The jobs will be posted on Chipotle's careers site. And here's more info on the types of positions (and salaries) available.
