Poll: More Parking Meters for Washington Avenue?
They're coming sometime next year, but are they fair to drivers and residents?

As we noted last week, on Washington Avenue and several of the side sreets sometime next year.
Those for the meters argue that they will keep spots open for area businesses. Advocates of non-car forms of transportation, such as those behind PARK-ing Day, would likely say that drivers should pay for the real estate they take up on the street.
But others argue that adding meters hurts area residents, who will have even fewer parking spots. (Although Washington Avenue is already two-hour parking, it's only enforced every few weeks, we hear. In addition, the side-street meters are replacing parking spots that currently have no time constraint.)
