Popular Flatbush Jerk Chicken Restaurant Expanding to Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Flatbush favorite Peppa's Jerk Chicken Restaurant is expanding to Crown Heights.

The new spot, located at 791 Prospect Pl., will be open in about three weeks, according to co-owners Tamara Cabbagestalk and Jessica Hussey.

The restaurant will continue serving the jerk chicken and sides Peppa's is known for, Cabbagestalk and Hussey said, as well as escovitch, a Jamaican dish made with porgy fish that's deep fried, seasoned and served with onions and carrots.

But the Peppa's in Crown Hiehgts will also be adding a few new items to the menu. The owners were willing to preview one: jerk rolls, which will feature jerk chicken, cabbage, carrots and sweet peppers all deep friend inside an egg roll wrap.

When it opens, the new restaurant will take orders from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days per week.
