Pride, Juneteenth Parties And More Coming To Vanderbilt Open Street
From DJ happy hours to dancing lessons, the popular Open Street on Vanderbilt Avenue has a lot in store for June. Here's what to know.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — From DJ happy hours, to Brooklyn Pride and a Juneteenth celebration of Black-owned businesses — Prospect Heights' most popular Open Street has a lot in store this month.
The Open Street, which closes traffic on warm-weather weekends between Atlantic Avenue and Park Place, has revealed its line-up of events for June.
The events, starting this Friday, include a taste of local businesses with free DJ shows, dance lessons and guitar shows. The month will also bring special celebrations for Pride Month and the Juneteenth holiday.

ABOUT: Vanderbilt Open Streets operates Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
THE SCHEDULE:
- Friday June 3
- Celebrate the grand opening of BLU Room Bar Lounge with samples of their new menus, music from DJHard Hittin’ Harry and ALL night Happy Hour!
- Saturday June 4
- Come dance with Salsa Salsa Dance Studio! Start with a free beginner lesson at 5pm, followed by an evening social of salsa and music as the sun sets.
- Smokey Vale presents Edge of Glory, an exhibition by renowned NYC-based photographer David Zheng.
- Saturday June 11 and Sunday June 12 - Brooklyn PRIDE
- Two days of Pride on the Avenue, hosted by Branded Saloon, 2-9 p.m.
- See performances and art from local artists, including: The Royal Minks, Jane Bruce from Jagged Little Pill,Boy Radio, Bi Tirant, Secret Emchy Society, Viva Deconcini, Julie Rodgers, Konstance Patton and more!
- Sunday, June 19 - Juneteenth
- Enjoy performances by Greg Banks and The Afro-Latineers!
- Celebrate and support local Black-owned businesses, including: Bierwax, BLU Room, Kat Flower,Fermented Grapes, Katflower, Mitchell's, Prospect Heights Realty, (Salon) 718 and Smokey Vale.
- Saturday, June 25:
- Wrap up the month with a showcase of performances by the city’s next rock legends - brought to you bythe New York City Guitar School Rock Band Show.
