PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — You don't need to break any records in Sunday's Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay Race.

But one runner is looking to finish three loops of Prospect Park in a new, fastest time.

Roberta Groner, 45, a New Jersey resident and sub-elite class runner, is looking to set a new American Masters record for the fastest 10-mile race time for women ages 45-49.

Groner has run competitively across the world, representing the US in the Women’s Marathon at the 2019 World Athletics Championship in Doha, Qatar, finishing 6th overall.

And based on her past performance, Groner looks likely to set a new record in Brooklyn's backyard.

Her fastest marathon time? 2:29:09 at the 2019 Rotterdam Marathon.

And just last year in a lower age bracket, she ran the Bronx 10 Mile Race in 56:41, seconds faster than the current record time of 57:09 she is seeking to beat as a 45-year-old.

For all other runners who are only looking to break personal records — or just have a good time — registration is still open until Saturday, or until the race is full.

Runners can do the 10 miles solo — three loops of Prospect Park — or as a relay race in teams of three.

The race, hosted by the Prospect Park Track Club, will help support the Prospect Park Alliance and Growhouse NYC, a local development group that seeks to initiate community land trusts in Central Brooklyn.

While winners in their categories will win cash prizes up to $100, all runners will get a free beanie.

And a post-race bagel with a cup of coffee and hot chocolate.
