Second Man Arrested In Crown Heights Shooting: NYPD

Police say a 60- and 68-year-old shot a man twice in Crown Heights in May.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A second man accused of shooting a man twice in Crown Heights was arrested Friday, police said.

Michael Roman, 60, of Crown Heights faces attempted murder charges related to the May shooting on Prospect Place and Rogers Avenue that landed a 37-year-old in the hospital, police said.

Police say Roman and Freddy Rodriguez, 68, shot the 37-year-old in the shoulder and hip after a verbal dispute about 7:20 a.m.

After the shooting, both suspected shooters hopped on mopeds and fled down Prospect Place, police said.

Rodriguez, of Crown Heights, was arrested in May and also faces attempted murder charges.
