Prospect-Lefferts Stabbing On 2 Train Leaves Man Injured: NYPD

A 45-year-old man was stabbed by two suspects who stole his phone Monday morning, police said.

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — An early morning stabbing on a 2 train in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens left a straphanger injured and two suspects on the run, NYPD reports.

The straphanger, a 45-year-old man, was attacked aboard a southbound 2 train at the Winthrop Street station about 5:10 a.m, police said.

Two young men — in their late teens or early 20s — stabbed the man in his right side, police said.

The pair stole the straphanger's cell phone and ran away, police said.

Medics took the 45-year-old to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, police said. There were no updates on his condition.

No arrests have been made and the NYPD says the investigation is still ongoing.
