Two men were arrested for possessing the weapons stash.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Police got more than they thought they would out of a routine traffic stop on Atlantic Avenue, authorities said.
NYPD officers found a bullet proof vest and four weapons, including a submachine gun, inside of a car they pulled over for illegally parking and driving with their lights off, police said.
When they pulled the car over, on Atlantic Avenue and Classon Avenue, the officers smelled "a strong odor of marijuana" and saw weed in the car, police said. They put the men under arrest and found the weapons stash after a further search, according to police.
