CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A year after a flashy jewelry-loving bishop was robbed mid-sermon in Brooklyn, a third culprit was identified by police.

Shamar Leggette, 41, is suspected to be third thief who absconded with $1 million in jewelry during the 2022 armed robbery targeting Bishop Lamor Whitehead, police announced Thursday.

Whitehead, who now faces fraud charges linked to church dealings, has not been shy about his anger with the media attention. He's also taken to Instagram to deny the allegations.

But Whitehead has forgiven the men who rattled his Canarsie church — two of which were already arrested, he said.

One Crown Heights man, 23-year-old Sayquan Pollack, was already arrested for the robbery alongside another Brooklyn man, according to the NYPD.

"They have to have no heart," Whitehead said in an Instagram video after the two men were arrested.

The three men entered the Leader's of Tomorrow International Ministry in Canarsie about 11:15 a.m. on July 24, 2022, according to the NYPD.

Video of the live-streamed sermon from July, 2022 showed armed men storming through the church and grabbing Whitehead's goods before fleeing in a white Mercedes Benz.

"You guys have no idea the trauma that happened to my family and we're still going through it — and the trauma of my church," Whitehead said. "I'm 10 toes down, ya'll, I'm pushing forward."

Whitehead had previously made headlines for his attempts to help Mayor Eric Adams with a failed crime-busting display when Whitehead tried to get a subway slasher to turn himself in to the mayor and police.

The scheme failed when NYPD became impatient and made the arrest themselves.
