CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A Brooklyn teenager accused of murdering another and dumping his burnt body by train tracks was arrested Thursday, according to the NYPD.

Isiah Baez, 19, of Flatlands, is accused of killing Deandre Matthews, 19, whose body was found in February on freight train tracks near Brooklyn College on Nostrand Avenue, police said.

Matthews' body had significant burn wounds, and his car found near the tracks also had burns, NBC News reported.

Police say Matthews inhaled smoke before he died and had been shot in the head — and that Baez illegally had a gun.

Police in February ruled the death a homicide, but Matthews' mother suspects it was a hate crime because he was gay, NBC News reported.

On May 4, police arrested Remy McPrecia, 24, for aiding in the coverup and trying to conceal the corpse.

Deandre Matthews worked at Buggy Service Center in Crown Heights and was studying criminal justice at SUNY Broome Community College, according to CBS News.

"He was just a beautiful soul. He was a great kid. Never had police contact. First in my family to go to college. He was amazing,” Matthews' mother told NBC News.
