Teen Charged With Gunpoint Mugging

A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with holding up a man on St. Marks Avenue.

Cops have arrested a teen and charged him with robbery after a 24-year-old man said the boy held him up in the lobby of his St. Marks Avenue apartment building.

The man was opening the front door of the building on St. Marks Avenue between Classon and Franklin at 10:35 p.m. when the teen walked up to him, pointed a gun, and said “give me everything you got," according to a police report.

The man handed over his iPhone (which already had a smashed back) and the teen ran off.

The robbery happened at 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8. A teen was later arrested and charged with the crime, but the report does not indicate how he was caught.

This is at least the in the Classon Avenue area in the past month. Police ask victims call 911 immediately to ensure the best chance of catching the perpetrator.
