These 3 BK Bagel Shops Are Among NYC's Most Popular, Data Shows

BROOKLYN, NY —Three of the borough's bagel shops are among New Yorkers' go-tos for getting bagels, according to a new study.

Three spots in Brooklyn made it into the top 10 New York City bagel spots with the most orders in 2021, according to newly-released Grubhub data.

They include Bagel Pub's Crown Heights location, Williamsburg's Bagelsmith and Bagel Point in Greenpoint, according to the data.

In what may come as a surprise to some avid bagel fans in Brooklyn, the most popular spots on the list were in Queens and Manhattan. Those two boroughs made up the entire top five, with Manhattan taking the most spots in the top 10.

Grubhub also explored the most popular menu items across the city.

They found that New Yorkers' favorite bagel flavor is everything, followed by cinnamon, onion, and blueberry.

For New Yorkers who prefer bagel sandwiches, most go for the classic bacon egg and cheese or lox with scallion spread, Grubhub says. Egg and cheese bagels (for the meat averse), or B.L.T sandwiches (for the meat lovers) are the next most-popular orders, data shows.

The Grubhub study comes as New Yorkers get ready to celebrate National Bagel Day, which is Saturday, Jan. 15.
