Sisters Found Dead Inside Crown Heights Home, Police Say

The two elderly women were found inside a Union Street home, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Two elderly sisters were found dead inside a Crown Heights home on Friday afternoon, the NYPD said.

The sisters, who were in their 70s, were found by police inside the home at 1023 Union St., near Franklin Avenue, at about 2:04 p.m., a spokesman for the agency said. One woman was found in the bedroom and the other on the floor nearby, police said.

EMS pronounced the women dead at the scene and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death, authorities said.

Police said the initial 911 call mentioned flooding, but officers responding found that was in the home next door.
