Video: Smiling Man Beats 71-Year-Old Woman In Unprovoked Attack
An older woman's jaw was broken by a smiling stranger on a Prospect Lefferts Gardens street, police said.

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS — A grinning man punched an elderly woman to the ground and broke her jaw in an unprovoked attack in Brooklyn, police said.
Police released footage Monday night of the surprise attack on the 71-year-old which they said occurred near Lincoln Road and New York Avenue about 5:25 p.m. on Sept. 19.
Video shows the man walking down the street, then suddenly veering off to punch the woman before turning and continuing briskly on his way.

Emergency responders took the elderly woman to Kings County Hospital in serious condition, said police.
She was treated for a broken jaw and cuts on her mouth that required stitches.
